It’s Saturday! I get to see my Granmama today! It’s a sunny day but super cold – 39 degrees is our high – so just a short romp outside is all mom is going to allow. She said it had to be in the upper 40s before she would even consider taking me to the dog park. Oh, well, spring will be here sooner or later. I’ll post some pics of G’s back yard tomorrow or Monday. Until then, please enjoy my beautiful face.

When I first came to live with my mom I was very shy. But now, after almost 4 months with her I have started to let my real, silly personality show. At first I was shy and a little scared – not that mom would ever hurt me – I know that now – but in the beginning I wasn’t sure.
I liked to hide a lot – some of it was being cold, but it was also me being shy.
I had lived for 10 years with my first mom and dad and then suddenly my mom went to heaven and my dad had to move so my new mom took me in and I was really confused.
At first I said, “Don’t touch my belly!”
But gradually I have learned it is okay for me to play and run around with my new mom!
Rub my tummy, Please!
I have even started to let her give me tummy rubs! And I love them! I hope you have someone to rub your tummy, too!
I look like I’m growling but I’m not!
See you next time, Barkingly yours, LadyBird
It’s been cold and rainy around here the last couple of days so mom and me have been staying inside. We’ve got plans coming up to go to the World Pet Expo in February and Bea Arthur Memorial Park in Norfolk as soon as its warm enough! In the meantime here are some random pictures of me on the go with mom!
Where are we going next, mom?
Let me take the photo mom!
Is that another dog??
Are you sure you know how to drive?
See you next time!
Mom told me today about what my backyard looked like before I came to live with her (taken from inside the house). This is what it looked like in the winter one year ago. Beautiful woods, lots of shade – the buildings in the background were so far enough away that in the spring and summer you didn’t even see them.
I would have loved to see these woods.
This is what these woods look like now – no woods at all!!
She said once they tore down all the trees the summertime heat doubled – as did her air conditioning bill!
Anyway, this is the backyard I know and love. Here I am playing in it!
Howling like a wolf!
Toby always comes into the backyard with us.
Is that the rabbit?
Toby is so boring – all he does is eat grass.
Mom insists on Toby being shown on my blog!
And this is what I do when I come back in – warm up by the heater!
This evening mom and I went to Bella’s house for pizza and a movie. Or for me, it was just the movie. Mom said no to pizza. Bad momma! I really wanted pizza! (Bella got some from her mom!) Oh well, maybe next time.
When we first got there there were some chickadees at Bella’s bird feeder.
It’s the Chickadee Channel on Bird TV! Can you see her? She is really small.
I told her all about how BobbieSue and Simon love their Bird TV and wanted to thank Bella for thinking of them. I liked it too. I’ve never seen a chickadee up close – well as close as I can get before they fly off!
We watched Fried Green Tomatoes. It was really good! Mom says fried green tomatoes are good – at least the way my auntie makes them. They must be since she won’t eat the red ones.
Here I am enthralled with the movie!
What did they say was in the barbecue?
But Bella is so young she wanted to play more than watch the movie. She kept bugging me to play.
Com’on Lady, let’s PLAY!!
When I said no to her she played with her mom!
Dance Bella – but turn around so we can see your face!
We had a nice evening and made plans to play this Sunday! I can’t wait!
See you later!
