Great Bridge Lock Park, part 3

Surprise! I have another post for you tonight! Did you like my earlier post about this being Donald Duck Day? I didn’t know about it either until mom read her email this morning! Anyway, back to the Lock Park. After a hot day of walking around, mom promised me a treat – so guess where we went? That’s right – Dairy Queen! there’s nothing like cool ice cream on a hot summer day! Don’t get too jealous of me when you see the pictures!! Tomorrow is the day I go to see Granmama so my last Park post will be on Thursday! See you then!  Barkingly Yours, LadyBird

I couldn’t believe it when we turned into Dairy Queen! I wanted to go inside but mom said I wasn’t a service dog so I had to wait in the car. Don’t worry – I wasn’t alone – mom would NEVER leave me in a hot car. I waited in the AC with G while mom was inside and and with mom while G went inside!

Can you believe it! Mom got a chocolate blizzard! that means she wasn’t going to let me have any of it! Bad Momma!

Thank goodness for my G! She got a vanilla blizzard! Now if she will only give me some! Please, pretty please may I have some blizzard?

Oh YEAH mmm-num-num-num-num-num – sorry can’t talk now – num-num-num ice cream too good!!

G turned the cup her for what we call “Product Placement” it was so very very good and cool!

NATIONAL DONALD DUCK DAY

National Donald Duck Day is celebrated annually on June 9th.  This day commemorates the birthday of the funny animal cartoon character, Donald Duck.  Donald made his first screen debut on June 9, 1934 in The Wise Little Hen.

Donald Duck usually wears a sailor suit with a cap and a black or red bow tie and is most famous for his semi-intelligible speech along with his mischievous and irritable personality

Donald Duck has appeared in more films than any other Disney character.   Donald was also declared in 2002 by TV Guide as one of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all times.

It was in Donald’s second appearance in Orphan’s Benefit that he was introduced to his comic friend, Mickey Mouse.  Donald’s girlfriend,  Daisy Duck, along with his nephew’s, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, were introduced shortly thereafter. 

In addition to animation, Donald is also known for his appearance in comic books and in newspaper comic strips.

One of Donald Duck’s famous sayings is “Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy”.
