Toby and I are sharing today’s post – me first – It’s National I Love Lucy Day!!

National I Love Lucy Day is celebrated annually on October 15. This day celebrates one of television’s all time greatest shows, I Love Lucy. “I Love Lucy”, an American sitcom starring Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance and William Frawley made it’s debut on October 15, 1951. In four of its six seasons, I Love Lucy was the most watched show in the United States and was the first to end its run at the top of the Nielsen ratings. Was the first scripted television program to be shot live on 35 mm film in front of a studio audience.

• Won five Emmy Awards
• Received numerous nominations
• 2002 – Ranked second on TV Guide’s list of television’s greatest shows
• 2007 – Listed as one of Time magazine’s “100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME.”
• I Love Lucy remains popular with an American audience of 40 million people each year.

OBSERVE – Watch a marathon of I Love Lucy and use #NationalILoveLucyDay to post on social media.  HISTORY – Within our research, we were unable to find the creator of National I Love Lucy Day, an “unofficial” national holiday.

Toby here! I just have one quick thing to say. . .

I love this box! It stayed in the front room and I slept in it every day!! It’s such a beautiful box. And roomy. Big enough for me and Penny (15and meowing blog)!!

My beautiful box. Went into the recycling bin. Too BIG mom said. She kept tripping over it. I say it’s her feet that are too big!! Sweet box. . . I will always remember you.
