I am so disappointed in mom!

My mom has been on vacation this week and while I have enjoyed having her home, she hasn’t taken me anywhere new. She told me that while on vacation she was going to take me to a dog park in Norfolk and to a pretty Japanese gazebo there as well. Here it is Friday night and she took me to run errands on Monday (boring) and to see Granmama on Tuesday (exciting to see G!).

Since then, nothing. So disappointed.  😦

She was gone all day today with Bella’s mom – something about an big fish tank I think. Tomorrow she’s going off with G to a fashion show.

Sometimes I get so frustrated with mom I won’t even look at here!

What happened to LadyBird time with mom? Am I playing second fiddle? I don’t like that. Mom, I still love you, but what about me? I know mom loves me, I just wish she would take me someplace new. She tells me it has been cold and rainy and the one warm day I did get to run around outside with Bella and Toby, so I guess that’s okay.

Sun-bathing is nice!

I just remembered! Next week I get to meet the Easter Bunny. Yeah! All is not lost! So maybe I’m not so mad at mom after all!  🙂 

I met a cat named Jack…

So this past Saturday me and mom and Granmama went to North Carolina to visit Auntie and to celebrate their birthdays (mom & Auntie’s). It was a nice drive; I kept watch the whole way to make sure mom didn’t get lost.

 

 

 

 

We watched a movie – Guardians of the Galaxy – which was pretty funny, ate yummy pizza – well, I didn’t get any yummy pizza (bad momma!) – and skyped with my cousin in California.

 

 

 

 

But the highlight of the day wasn’t the yummy birthday cake (again, I didn’t get any – double-bad momma!) or the presents mom and Auntie received.

The highlight of my day was meeting Auntie’s cat Jack. Now, I am intimidated by very few creatures, cats are the least of my worries. But there I was, minding my own business when this big grey, gold-eyed monster came into the room. At first he didn’t see me – but when he did — oh, did he make me tremble! He gave me such a   stink-eye that I was actually scared! He perched on the other side of the room and looked like he was going to take a leap at me and I was thoroughly convinced he would be able to cover the distance in a single jump! He looked at me so hard that I had to turn my head – you know they say you should never make eye contact with a terrible beast so I looked away hoping he would leave me alone. Once he realized he had me in my place with his stink-eye look, he was satisfied and left me alone. Whew! I was relieved that I was going to live to see another day.

 

 

 

 

 

Later on Mom and me went outside – Auntie lives on the water and I got to peek at the mirror like surface of the canal behind her house – it was funny – I scared mom! I guess she thought I was going to fall into the water! Ha! I wouldn’t be so silly to do that!

After I got through with my little look over the edge, I turned around and OH MY GOODNESS! There he was AGAIN! That beast Jack towering over me on the dock. I was really scared!

 

 

 

 

 

And, because mom was worried I would get really afraid and run off the dock by accident, she swooped me up and took me back into the house! Of course, when I was safe in her arms, I let Jack know what I thought of his mean ol’ stink-eye! (He ignored me and walked off.) What an adventure! I hope not to meet up with him for a while. In spite of the Beast, I had a nice day – any day with mom by my side is a nice day!! The weather is supposed to be warmer this weekend so she is promising me a new place to visit – I can’t wait to see what it is and to tell you all about it! Till next time!, I am

I have a lovely face

Since it has been so cold and snowy the last week mom and I haven’t been going anywhere new so I wanted to post a couple of pictures of me to remind you how pretty I am (as if you need reminding!). These two photos are of me on different days on the way to see Granmama. I went to the Pet Expo – part last

Well, folks, it’s quite a week of reminiscing about the Pet Expo. It was great fun and I’m sure mom and I will go next year. I asked her to post some random photos we took of the day. I will add my comments as we go along. So, what grand adventures are next for me? 1. I get to go to work with mom tomorrow. 2. April 4, photos with the Easter Bunny! (mom is already dreaming up a bunny costume to make for me – I’m just a little scared!) 3. April 26, Tidewater Tides (baseball) Bark in the Park – I get to go watch a baseball game! I hope its’ warm by then. I am tired of having to walk around on snow and ice to do my business (those photos will be in a separate post)!  Enjoy the photos and I’ll see you next time!

baby iguanas – mom told me she used to have one for a couple of years. But he died while a hurricane was hitting the area so she wasn’t able to get him to the emergency vet in time.

I want some pork!

Well I got to visit my Granmama on Saturday and we had a surprise (to me & mom) visit from my Aunty. At first I didn’t recognize her so I barked a lot but after we all (me, mom & Aunty) barked and howled together I remembered her and was very happy to see her.

Gee, mom, these treats are very chewy.

For supper, I had to eat dog food while everybody else got pork chops (sad face).

After mom was finished I could still smell the sweet aroma of pork – mmmm – 

It smells sooooo wonderful!

But mom said no – But when she wasn’t looking I tried to sneak a piece for myself.

If I just stretch my neck a little bit more…

Eventually my big brown eyes got to mom and she let Granmama give me a piece of pork. It was delicious!

Guess where I am going in just 2 more weeks? The World of Pets Expo! I am so excited!  There’s going to be exhibits of all kinds of pets, a fancy mouse show 

(which is just like a cat or dog show), and Dock Dogs are going to be there, too! There’s also going to be a pet beauty show – mom said she’s going to try make me something to wear so I can enter! you know I’ll have plenty of pictures to share!
