This new year is so different than last New Year’s Day. In 2015 we were a household of 1 humom, 4 cats and 1 dog. Now, in less than 6 months, we are a house of 1 humom and 3 cats. Piper and LadyBird are sorely missed. We are sad but also looking forward to what the future holds. Here is a little retrospective on our sisfurs. Happy New Year, evfurybody!!! Love, Toby, Simon, BobbieSue and Momma Sabina
Hello everybody, while I’m not ready to talk about what happened with LadyBird just yet, I wanted to let everybody know that I am doing my very best to guide my mom out of the dark funk she’s in right now. We ALL want to thank everyone who visited leaving your condolences. Your love and prayers warmed mom’s heart and encouraged her to let me post this. We love you all. Purringly yours, Toby
This is probably old news to most of you, but it is new to us. While reading another blog (and recent new follower – thank you!!!) Little Lord Oscar Dandelion Books, we found out about a brave police dog who lost her life in the recent terrorist attacks in Paris. To honor Diesel, and other police dogs like her, we are reblogging the article here. So many lives, so many tears. We like to believe that Diesel is running free at the Bridge and even though we didn’t know her personally, we know her spirit. With love, LadyBird and Toby
“Today, a brave police dog died for defending the people from ISIS militants. Diesel the Belgian Shepherd, shown here, is decorated with service medals highlighting a distinguished career.
…a little like losing one of our colleagues. – One of Diesel’s colleagues
“Seven year old Diesel lost her life whilst on duty with the (French) Police Nationale, when a suicide bomber activated her bomb vest at the apartment where the terrorists were hiding as it was searched by the police. Diesel, like other search dogs within the anti-terror RAID unit, are indispensible. Their job is to search for explosives. She had gone on ahead to sniff out booby traps.
“Five days ago – Friday 13th November 2015 – ordinary, innocent people were targeted in Paris attacks. 129 sadly lost their lives.

Hey folks, I went to the doctor’s today. Bummer. Mom is still worried about my big fat belly. I have lost 4 ounces, though, so that’s good news. My belly is also soft – as opposed to rock hard like it was the last time I was at the doc’s. So here’s the diagnosis – doc thinks I may be backed up – in the belly area – you know – poo-wise. Gross, huh? So mom has to put these sprinkles on my food that will add good bacteria to my gut. She also has to give me some stuff to help me go. Everything else is good so mom wants to try this to see if it works. If it doesn’t, well, we don’t want to think about that now. Sorry for the gross talk but I thought I needed to explain my fat belly in the photos below!! Barkingly yours, LadyBird
I have a special photo for a special friend, Penny. Mom took it as a selfie when I was relaxing on her shoulder in bed the other day. She was going to save it for Sunday Selfie day but I wanted to give it to Penny instead. Enjoy!! Purringly yours, Toby
