You would think that being from Georgia I would be used to hot weather. Well, I mat be used to it but I sure don’t like it! Hot weather means me and mom don’t get to visit with Bella that much because its too hot to sit outside. Hot weather means fleas. Hot weather means I stuck at home when mom runs her errands. Some days its so hot she won’t even let me do my sniff-sniff around the yard! Hot weather also means that when I do get to go with mom she runs the air conditioning instead of having the windows rolled down. Oh well, this too shall pass! Just to remind you about hot weather I am posting an infographic from the ASPCA. Let’s be safe out there everyone! Pantingly yours, LadyBird

I’m back!!
I must apologize for missing you guys the past few days! It has been a week today since I’ve been able to post anything. I blame it all on my mom (aka secretary). She says “never-mind” and just be glad I’m back today! I wanted to share with you my adventure to a local park, The Great Bridge Lock Park in Cheaspeake. It will be several posts so please come back after today! We went with my Granmama last Saturday and though the day as beautiful, it was hot!! Afterward we all had a special treat! I hope you enjoy my Saturday! See you soon! Barkingly yours, LadyBird.

This is a picture of the waterway looking toward the drawbridge. It’s a part of the Intracoastal Waterway where my mom says she thinks you can travel the entire East Coast of the U.S. without going out into the ocean! Sounds like fun!

This pictures shows an off shoot of the waterway where there are condos with all sorts of boats parked right out side their back doors! How would you like to have a boat in your back yard ready to sail on a moment’s notice? I think it would be cool to be a boat dog!

Oh boy! I got to see a couple of giant birds! Mom says they are Canada Geese, but they just look giant to me. I couldn’t get that close to them because mom said if I fell in she wouldn’t go in after me! (I’m sure she was just kidding!) I really like this picture because it shows the blue sky mixed with the dark water ripples.

And finally one of me. It shows you how hot I was! After mom took this picture we sat down for awhile and she gave me some water to cool off. Tomorrow I will show you the bridge lift! It was so cool! Bye until then!!
I got to ride in the backseat!
Hey, everybody. Usually I ride in the front seat of my mom’s car in my basket or in my Granmama’s lap. Both very fun! Well, the other day G had to take my cousin someplace and mom and I went along for the ride. We sat in the backseat. This was the first time I was in G’s car, in the backseat. At first I was a little scared and nervous cause I didn’t know where we were going. But after a while, after G reassured me everything was alright, I had a good time barking at all the strangers. Mom didn’t even tell me to be quiet!I love it when she does that!! Here are some pix I took, enjoy and don’t forget your mom tomorrow! Barkingly Yours, LadyBird

What’s going on? Where are we going? I’m just a little nervous right now but trying very hard not to let it show!

We’ve stopped! Are we getting out? No? You mean we just have to sit hear and wait? I’m not a good wait-er!

Oh! there you are – I was so afraid you weren’t coming back and me and mom would have to sit here FOREVER! It’s okay now, mom, you can stop worrying.
I went to Earth Day!
So my mom has been away from the computer fora few days and a lot has happened – I’ve got three different posts waiting in the wings for you! But first – I went to Earth Day at Mount Trashmore yesterday. It was nice to get out of the the house on a beautiful day but mom made me walk ALOT and I tired by the time we got to Granmama’s that afternoon. But I had fun – here are some pictures I took (I forgot to take some selfies and ones of Bella; oh well, there’s always our next adventure! Really, I can’t be expected remember everything – mom has to do some of the work!) Enjoy the photos. Barkingly Yours, LadyBird ❤

I know, it looks like I took a picture of a man’s shirt – but I was trying for the owl behind him. He is from a group that rescues wild animals. The owl in the back can no longer fly so he is an animal ambassador now.

No, not another shirt – but a red tailed hawk who has arthritis and cannot fly. He’s an animal ambassador, too. Did you know that it against the law to bother a raptor (hawk, eagle, etc) – even collect it’s feathers?

Success! Here’s mom and me waiting in the car (see me in the rear view?) for G to get back with the fried chicken! There she is walking to the car! Yum!!
I am so disappointed in mom!
My mom has been on vacation this week and while I have enjoyed having her home, she hasn’t taken me anywhere new. She told me that while on vacation she was going to take me to a dog park in Norfolk and to a pretty Japanese gazebo there as well. Here it is Friday night and she took me to run errands on Monday (boring) and to see Granmama on Tuesday (exciting to see G!).
Since then, nothing. So disappointed. 😦
She was gone all day today with Bella’s mom – something about an big fish tank I think. Tomorrow she’s going off with G to a fashion show.
What happened to LadyBird time with mom? Am I playing second fiddle? I don’t like that. Mom, I still love you, but what about me? I know mom loves me, I just wish she would take me someplace new. She tells me it has been cold and rainy and the one warm day I did get to run around outside with Bella and Toby, so I guess that’s okay.
I just remembered! Next week I get to meet the Easter Bunny. Yeah! All is not lost! So maybe I’m not so mad at mom after all! 🙂
